2004 Sunday Cubs

The Cubs decided to step it up and they joined the Sunday league with several returnees and some new faces. The year had its hiccups; we took some beatings and played many close games. But the team continued to grow and got stronger as the year went on.
Record: 7 -12
Playoffs: Lost in first round
Highlights / Bloopers:
- After not hitting in over four years Joseph Bracelin went 3 for 3 in his first game after joining the A’s.
- Zane Miller was pitching in the final inning of a game when he threw an inside pitch that broke the batter’s aluminum bat. The bat came back to hit Zane in the leg but the ball was hit in play. Mike Haisten picked the ball up and turned a game ending double play in the confusion.
